We allow system admins to create and manage a variety of custom field types. When adding fields, admins should be aware of several default parameters, specifically around how many fields can be added and what values each field can hold:
In our system, different objects can support different amounts of custom fields. Importantly, for each object (like Partner, Assessment, etc.) the defaut parameters depend on the data type (Text, Number, Date). For example, users can add up to 150 text fields on Partners. In practice, this means users can add any combination of input, multiline text, and dropdown fields up to 150 in total. For example, users can add 150 input fields or a combination of 50 input, 50 multiline text, and 500 dropdown fields.
Note: The parameters listed below represent the default amount for each field. If you are interested in updating these amounts, please have your administrator reach out to our support team if these parameters need to be changed.

Date |
When a user modifies a date field, the value will be stored in that user's timezone. If that user has not defined a time zone in their profile, the value will be stored in the organization's time zone. When a user views a date field, the value will be converted to the viewer's timezone. If the viewer has not set up a timezone, the date field will convert to the organization's timezone. If organizations want dates to display the same to all users, then the organization should discourage users from setting up personal time zones in user profile settings. |

Drop Down (Single Select) |
When using custom values, a dropdown value can not be edited after creation. When using a global list, dropdown values can be modified at any time. For both list types users can add or remove dropdown values. |
