System Administrators can configure platform settings. Once configured, the changes will be applied for all users in your company and throughout the application.

Customizing Lookup Fields (Secondary Labels)
This feature enables System Administrators to rename certain platform fields like Product, Partner,and Internal Owner to customize them according to their specific industry and to improve their reporting needs. For example, you could customize the display label of the Product object to Service, or the display label of the Partner object to Service Provider.
Platform Fields include the following:

Object display labels (i.e. how you want records of various data entities to be referred to in the application)

Navigational and User Interface Elements (e.g. the Partner Connect Switcher).
First, navigate to the System Admin Module, then to the Advanced Configuration Screen as highlighted in the screenshot below:

Click on Platform Settings as shown below.

To rename platform fields, click Edit option under the Actions column and enter your new field name. Click on the Checkmark icon to save the field name.
Important Notes:

The new field name will appear under the Your Field Name column and a success message will appear at the bottom of the screen to confirm that your edits have been saved successfully.

The platform fields available for configuration are Product, Partner, Internal Owner, and Issue.

The renamed value will appear throughout the application for all users across the organization.

To configure screen columns, scroll to the middle of the Platform Settings screen and click on the Edit link for the Lookup Field that you wish to configure. (For example, User).

Click on the Add or Remove button as shown below to add or remove columns that you want to add/remove from the respective screens. You can also preview your configuration under the Selected Configuration Preview at the bottom of the screen. When done, click on the Save Changes button.
Note: The changes once applied can be viewed in the respective screens. For example, while changing columns for the Active Assessments screen, the new column name will appear on the Active Assessments screen.
