Agentic Chat

While Agents excel at running consistent workflows to deliver consistent outputs, Chat excels at offering an open ended assistant to get started quickly to ask adhoc questions or complete adhoc tasks. Underneath, Chat has access to the same connectors and capabilities of Agents so you can expect the same level of analysis and same rich outputs from graphs to presentation ready documents.

Note:This feature is not available by default. If interested, please reach out to your Account Manager or contact Support.

Creating Chats

Users can start a chat at any time and later access their chat in the list of Recent Chats. Like many of the AI Assistants individuals are used to, Chat supports followup conversations. You can also rename or delete a chat at any time.

Users can configure a chat to focus on specific files and specific platform data as well as toggling access to various connectors.

Chat Configuration

Users can configure a chat to focus on specific files and specific platform data as well as toggling access to various connectors.

  • Add Files: Users can upload files to add context to the chat. Users with the Sharepoint File Picker connector enabled in System Admin will also be able to add files from Sharepoint.

  • Target Platform Data: When the Centrl Platform connector is enabled (by default) users can limit results to specific Partners, Products, Files, or Assessments. This helps when you ahead of time know exactly what you want to analyze.

  • View Content: This option shows the current scoped Partners, Products, Files, or Assessments for this chat.

  • Connectors: Here you can toggle to enable or disable a variety of different data sources. By default customers have access to Web and Centrl Data. Other connectors require setup in System Admin.

Options coming soon:

In the next release we will add the ability to select Skills which package a specific set of instructions and call Actions which let CentrlX make updates to your data.

What if I leave configuration as is?

By default, Chat enables the Centrl Platform connector. CentrlX will take your query and attempt to resolve what data is most relevant and ask followup questions if needed.

Managing Chats

Your recent chats are shown in the left hand side. These chats can be reviewed, renamed, or deleted at any time. Today, users cannot share chats and users can only see the chats they create.

Navigating Chats

To navigate to a previous Chat, click on the name of the chat under the Chat column on the left-hand side.

Renaming Chats

  1. Under the Source column, locate the chat and click on the 3 dots icon. Select the Rename option in the menu.

  2. Within the Rename window, type the desired name into the text field and click the Save button.

Note: By default, a chat will be named by CentrlX based on a user's first prompt.

Deleting Chats

  1. Under the Source column, locate the chat and click on the 3 dots icon. Select the Delete option in the menu.

  2. Within the Delete window, click the Yes button to delete the chat.

User Connections

Some integrations like Outlook rely on user level connections. Other integrations like those with Salesforce connect at the system level with a shared account. When running a chat with a user level connection, the platform will ask you to provide your user level credentials.

Resetting Connections

Sometimes you need to reset user level connectors because of account changes. In the left hand side you will see an option to Reset Connections.

From the new popup, click Reconfigure

Click Disconnect and then Reconnect.
