On September 11, 2026, Centrl will introduce approval-controlled CentrlX actions, structured List answers for assessments, and automated Form ADV monitoring. These updates reduce manual data entry, surface important changes earlier, and keep users in control of AI-assisted updates.
Pre-Release Notes Summary
CentrlX
We’ve combined the functionality of CentrlGPT and our Research Assistant into a new platform, CentrlX. This release expands the agentic foundation of CentrlX, helping teams automate platform workflows, standardize recurring instructions, and generate deliverables that follow client-specific templates.
- Take Action with User Approval: CentrlX can analyze files associated with a Partner or Manager, identify proposed field updates, and present each action for review as an approval card in the chat, for example, "Allow me to update the AUM for Acme Capital to $25M?" with a link explaining what the agent intends to do and why. Users can approve or reject actions individually, and nothing changes without approval.
- Define Reusable Skills: Users can create Skills that capture reusable instructions, such as style guides, calculation methods, and organization-specific requirements. Skills make common instructions easier to maintain while promoting consistency and standardization across workflows.
- Generate Reports from Client Templates: Users can attach report templates directly to Skills and use CentrlX to generate documents that follow the templates’ existing structure, styling, and formatting. This makes it easier to produce deliverables that meet client or organization-specific standards.
- CentrlX-Powered Chats: New Chats now use the CentrlX agentic platform, providing access to the same connectors, intelligence, skills, and actions available to CentrlX agents. Users can begin with Chat for flexible, ad hoc work and create an agent when they want to formalize, govern, and reuse the workflow.
Note: Chats created before the July 2026 release will continue to use the legacy Research Assistant framework. No user action is required. New chats will use CentrlX.
Assessments
Assessments can now collect structured information as records instead of free text, allowing submitted data to be reviewed and mapped into the platform. Smart Evaluation can also find evidence across an entire assessment, while expanded Display Rules provide more flexibility for Dynamic Assessments.
- Collect Structured Records: A new List answer type lets respondents submit records mapped to Custom Objects. Use Table answers for free-form grids; use List answers when responses require defined fields, validation, and mapping to platform records. Questionnaire managers choose which fields respondents see and edit, while evaluators review returned records and select which ones to map back to the platform. This reduces manual reentry for information such as key people, systems, or subprocessors.
- Configure Exactly What Respondents See and Edit: Each field in a List answer can be given its own label, set to Editable, Locked, or Hidden, and marked required or optional. List settings also control whether respondents can add new records or remove existing ones. This allows known information to be prefilled, protects values that should not change, and still gives respondents room to complete the picture.
- Map List Answers Back to Custom Objects: List answers are included in the Map Answers workflow. Evaluators can view the records currently held on the parent record, review the records returned in the assessment, select which ones to accept, and map them back. For example, records collected about trading systems can be pushed directly into the platform as new or updated entries.
- Required Answer Comments: Users with questionnaire management access can now require answer comments on specific questions, simplifying questionnaire setup and reducing the need for adding follow-ups to ask for detail.
- Ignore Formatting-Only Answer Changes: Answers will no longer be marked as changed when the only differences are spaces, line breaks, or formatting. This reduces clutter and helps evaluators focus on substantive changes.
- Find Evidence Across the Entire Assessment: Powered by CentrlX, Smart Evaluation can now evaluate documents attached anywhere in an assessment, not only documents attached to the current question. This helps Smart Evaluation recognize relevant evidence across questions and means respondents can upload a supporting document once for use throughout the assessment.
- Dynamic Assessments: Display Rules now support Multi Select attributes with four new operators: contains any of, is exactly, is empty, and is not empty. This makes it possible to show or hide questions based on multi-value attributes like region, product type, or service line.
Platform
This release focuses on getting more out of the data already in the platform: new ways to report across Assessments and Products, bulk actions that replace repetitive one-at-a-time work, and clearer records of who did what.
Reporting & Dashboards
- Assessment with Products Report: A new report type combines Assessment and Product information in a single report. Users can view Product level fields alongside Assessment level fields for richer reporting and analysis.
- Column-Based Assessment Comparisons: Bulk Export now includes a Column-Based Comparisons option that places each selected Assessment in its own column with questions down the rows. This makes it much easier to read across responses from different Partners, or across reporting periods for the same Partner, and see exactly where answers diverge.
- Days Since Fields: Assessment and Issue tables can now be sorted and filtered by elapsed-time fields, making it easier to spot what's aging without exporting to a spreadsheet. Assessments support Days Since Created, Days Past Answer Due, Days Past Evaluation Due, and a new Days Since Answered On. Issues support a new Days Since Published.
- Track Executive Report Sharing: Executive Report history now records each recipient and when the report was shared or published. Recipients also receive an email notification when a report is shared. Contact Centrl Support to enable Executive Report publishing.
- Archive Reports and Dashboards: Users can archive or unarchive Reports and Dashboards within Report Builder, making it easier to clean up unused content. Archived Reports will not show up as available widgets when creating dashboard tiles.
Bulk Workflows
- Bulk Download Files: From the Files page in Partner Space, users can select multiple files and receive an email with a link to download them in a single archive.
- Bulk Download Assessments: Users can select multiple Assessments and their attachments and receive an email with a link to one downloadable archive, instead of receiving a separate download link for each Assessment.
- Manage Tags in Bulk Evaluation: Users can now view and manage question tags directly from Bulk Evaluation. Tags can also be added or removed in bulk across multiple Assessments.
Visibility & Administration
- User Custom Attributes in Audit Logs: User audit logs now capture changes made to custom attributes, providing a more complete record of updates to each user.
- Filter by Archived Status: Tables that support archiving now include an Archived filter, so users can quickly isolate archived records. Previously users could only show or hide archived records.
- Requestor Field in Partner Import/Export: The Requestor field is now included in the Partner/Vendor import and export file, so it can be set or updated across many records at once instead of one at a time.
Form ADV
For clients with the Form ADV module, Centrl now automatically monitors followed managers for changes to their SEC Form ADV filings, so material updates surface without anyone re-reading filings by hand.
- Compare Filing Changes Automatically: With each monthly refresh, Centrl compares the latest Form ADV filing with the prior version and records field-level changes. Comparisons are performed for “followed” managers.
- Alerts on Followed Managers: When a change is detected on a followed manager, Centrl raises an alert and provides a comparison view showing prior and current values for each changed field.
- Choose Which Changes Trigger Alerts: A new ADV Configuration section lets administrators select which Form ADV fields generate alerts, such as AUM, disciplinary events, ownership, and fee structure. All supported fields are selected by default, and changes take effect with the next monthly refresh.
Note to Clients:
